SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
QUALITY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT

For Dragages, sustainable development means striking a balance in its business model between the economic profitability of its businesses and the labour, social and environmental impact.

On a day-to-day level, this means that decisions at every level of the business must take into account these three aspects of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental.

Economic development:

promote economic growth to create wealth for all by fostering sustainable patterns of production and consumption. This implies rational use of natural resources, sound corporate governance and professional ethics.

Environmental responsibility:

conserve, improve and develop the environment and natural resources over the long term. Resource conservation involves reducing environmental impacts, managing and recycling waste.

Social progress:

uphold social equity and fundamental human rights. For companies, this includes anti-discrimination measures, combating child labour, welfare policies and protecting workers' rights.

Our Sustainable Development Policy mirrors that of our parent company, Bouygues Construction, known as ACTITUDES. The title derives from 'Action' and 'Attitude' and covers seven key areas which we believe are essential for an effective sustainable development policy.

  • Foster a trusting relationship with our clients, based on consideration, transparency and innovation.
  • Incorporate risk into the day-to-day management of the company.
  • Lead our business sectors in terms of occupational health and safety.
  • Develop our employees' skills and promote equal opportunity.
  • Establish balanced, long-term relationships with partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that our businesses respect the environment.
  • Participate in the economic and social life of the regions where we operate.
