Dragages Hong Kong reigned championship in this year’s annual Circus Capital Stanley Dragon Boat Championship 2005 on 11 June 2005, Tuen Ng Festival at Stanley Main Beach. The event attracted significant interest from the corporate community with over 160 corporate teams rolling up their sleeves to show off their teamwork and spirit.

There are four categories in the boat competition: Men’s A and B Classes (divided into Chinese Men’s and Expatriate sections), a Ladies Class and a Mixed Class. Dragages participated in the Men’s B Class (expatriate section) with a team of 26 members, among which there were local Hong Kongers as well as 3 women.

“I am very glad that Dragages is the champion in this race. The team took time to practice and had shown excellent co-ordination at the race,” said Mr. Benoît de Ruffray, Managing Director of Dragages Hong Kong.

“Teamwork, effective partnership and performance, are required in the highly co-ordinated exercise of the dragon boat racing. These are the same values that lead to success in our business world. Last but not least, I am proud that such trophy is taken because this is the first in the company history.”
