On 20 August, 2 months after the completion of the first drive of the LDB201 KCRC TBM tunnel, TMB Mulan started to bore the Up Track for the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line from East Approach Sheung Shui to Kwu Tung. This second drive going through 1720 m is expected to be completed in mid January 2005. Currently, the project is one and a half month ahead of schedule.

A bai-sun ceremony was attended by Benoît de Ruffray, Managing Director of Dragages Hong Kong, Daniel Altier, General Construction Manager of LDB201 project, and client representatives Joseph Choi - General Manager; Michael Lau, Construction Manager ; Mr. Edwin Ching - Chief Resident Engineer.
