Dragages Hong Kong received from East Rail Extension (ERE) Project two safety awards - Zero Accident Award (July - December 2003) and Winner of the Contractor Safety Award (July - December 2003) Champion.

The awarded site is Lok Ma Chau Design and Build Contract 201 (LDB201).

Among all competing contractor sites of ERE project, several sites recorded zero accident rate from July to December 2003. Yet Dragages won the competition with a record of zero accident out of the 1.1 million man-hours worked (the highest number of man-hours among its counterparts).

For Winner of the Contractor Safety Award, the judging criteria are:
- Accident rate
- Number of senior management involved in inspections
- Number of safety promotion programmes
- Availability of safety training
- Severity rate
- Number of safety committee members
- Number of emergency drill
- Safety action request (when the site safety is below standard and client requested remedy to be done immediately)

C.W.Lau, Deputy Project Director of LDB201, received the Zero Accident Award from Adrian King, Aon HK Ltd.

Philippe Bouquet, Project Director of LDB201, received Championship of Contractor Safety Award from Joseph Choi, General Manager (Construction), KCRC.
